Outdoor fabrics are almost always specially treated to resist water, UV rays, mold, and mildew. This doesn’t make the fabrics indestructible, but there are things you can do to extend the life of your new cushions.
In the warmer months, consider installing a sunshade over a seating area to protect your cushions from UV rays and fading. Store your cushions when not in use to protect them from the damaging effects of the sun.
Also store your cushions in the winter when not in use to protect them from wind, rain, snow, and ice. If your cushions get wet, shake them out as soon as possible and let them dry completely.
Cleaning outdoor cushions is easy. First, remove any surface debris. Next, wash with mild soap and water and allow the cushions to dry completely.
